The Emotional Impact of Airbrush Makeup and Camoulfage Cosmetics

There are times when I am reminded of why I do this for a living. It’s the stories I hear from makeup artists like this one from Lilly Rivera of BridalGal.com.

Lilly sent me this picture of a client who was very self conscious about his acne scaring. She used airbrush makeup to camouflage the scaring he had all over his head. You know what kind of impact it had on him? He cried. He was so moved because he had been carrying a burden of low self esteem and he didn’t even realize it…until it was gone.

There are so many people who suffer from acne scaring, roseacea, birthmarks and many other forms of facial discoloration. The sad part is that most of these people don’t know that this wonderful solution of airbrush makeup and camouflage foundation even exists. Most of the products on the market are stiff, cake-y and look unnatural.

What is worse, is that most people feel uncomfortable sharing this solution with their friends. How does one bring that up? “Hey, I found out airbrush makeup can cover your acne.”  Um…no. That just doesn’t happen in polite conversation.

The one person who CAN mention it is the Esthetician or Beauty Professional. Even having a brochure or flier near your register where people can see it will give someone like the man in the picture another option he never knew about. People who do discover airbrush makeup and camouflage cosmetics are sooooo grateful. It really gives their self esteem a huge boost.

In an economy where people don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on expensive procedures, airbrush makeup can be a life altering solution.

Thanks for giving nice tips on air brush makeup and its useful for acne treatment, I was wondering that acne tube and cosmetics are enough, but airbrush make-up will hide almost birthmarks, acne etc..
